Fees
Application fee (UG NEET)
| Applied for | Fee |
|---|---|
| Government quota (Puducherry residents) | SC/ST/PwD: Rs 500; others: Rs 1,000 |
| Management quota (all) | Rs 2,000 |

If you apply under several quotas, pay the highest applicable fee. It is non-refundable. Payment is online only (net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI). An application without payment is rejected.
Registration fee and tuition fee
- Round 1 has no registration fee. For Round 2, Round 3 and the stray round, you pay that round’s registration fee (or tuition fee in the stray round). The amount depends on the round, the course and your quota category, so see clause 13 of the brochure.
- These are also paid online only (NEFT/RTGS, net banking, cards or UPI).
- Refunds start only after the whole admission process ends and can take about three months. The money goes back to the bank account given in your application.
How counselling works
UG NEET has four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the stray round. This year there is also a special stray round for MBBS and BDS. The schedule follows Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) guidelines, and allotment is by NEET UG 2026 all-India rank.
Merit lists: a draft merit list first, then a revised draft list, then the final list, with time for objections in between. If the NEET cut-off is lowered, fresh applications are invited.
In each round:
- Seat matrix is published
- You give your willingness to take part
- You pay the registration fee (from Round 2)
- You enter fresh course preferences. Earlier rounds’ preferences are void, and at least one is compulsory
- Eligible list, then allotment list, are published. Results are not sent individually
- You download the allotment order
- You pay the balance tuition fee
- You report in person to the allotted college for verification and admission
- One seat per candidate per round.
- Sliding to a better seat is allowed only in Rounds 2 and 3. A new seat cancels the earlier one.
- If you do not join in time, the allotment is cancelled and the seat returns to the next round.
- Mutual or individual college transfers are not allowed.
- De-reservation of vacant seats happens in Round 3 only.
At admission
- Download the allotment order and report to the college in person within the time given. No one else can complete admission for you.
- Take a printed copy of your application, the provisional allotment order, original certificates with self-attested photocopies, and any additional fee the college sets.
- If admission was obtained with false information, it is cancelled at any stage and fees are not refunded.
UG non-NEET and arts, science courses
- This year applications ran from 14 to 29 May 2026. Other-state candidates can apply for the seats open to them (Other State / All India and self-supporting quotas).
- Government and aided college seats are for Puducherry residents. Both Puducherry and other-state candidates can apply for self-supporting seats in B.Tech. (PKIET, WEC and vacant JOSAA seats of PTU/PEC), agriculture, horticulture, B.V.Sc., nursing, B.P.T., paramedical and B.Pharm.
- Rounds 1 to 3 run first, then mop-up rounds. Each round publishes an eligible list, a draft allotment, a provisional allotment and an admitted list.
- Details: admission notification (PDF), Part I general information (PDF).
